So how does one become a pet sitter. One thing is for certain - it's not a profession you pick....it picks you! I mean let's be honest for a second here, at 10 years old do you really say, "I want to pick up dog poop for a living!" Probably not. I didn't always want to be a pet sitter. I did, however, always appreciate animals, mainly dogs. I spent 16+ years behind a desk climbing that corporate ladder (was fairly successful and held some respectable positions). Yet something wasn't right, something was missing. Animals were missing!!! I tried to fill my animal void with numbers and spreadsheets and analytics, oh my! Then one day while at the dog park with Abby it hit me....I wanna pick up poop for a living. Alright, alright, I didn't actually think that, but I did trade my business suits and heels in for yoga pants and walking shoes....... and now 14 years later, I'm still walking tall and smiling big.

I have been pet sitting professionally for over 14 years as an established LLC carrying business insurance. I currently live in the village of Merton along with my husband, 3 dogs and most likely a foster dog or 2. Our house is smoke-free, extremely pet friendly and there’s a fenced in yard. We have experience with many breeds (yes the bully type), plus dogs of all ages/sizes, puppy to super seniors. We have experience in senior care and special needs (blind, deaf, dementia, seizures, etc.), as well as medication administration including insulin shots.

My husband and I strive to build a relationship with your dog and provide a second home for them to feel confident and comfortable in. We want your dog to feel the least amount of stress and anxiety as possible here.
